Alison played 222 international hockey games and scored 6 goals. She is one of only three South Australian’s to play over 200 international games.
She was a member of the Gold Medal winning team at the Sydney Olympics in 2000, as well as the Gold Medal team at the 1998 Kuala Lumpur Commonwealth Games.
Alison was a member of the 1992 Barcelona Olympic Games team, where she competed in her first Olympic Games.
Her World Cup achievements include Silver in 1990 in Sydney, Gold in 1994 in Dublin and Gold in 1998 in Utrecht. She also competed in 6 Champions Trophy events wining four Gold (1991, 1993, 1995, 1999) a Silver (1989) and a Bronze (2000).
She was awarded the Order of Australia in 2001 for service to sport as a Gold Medallist at the Sydney Olympics, and named in the Australian Women’s Team of the Century at the 2013 ‘Centenary of Canberra Sportswomen’s Ball’ at Parliament House.
